Dashboards and analytics

The question «how are we doing» ends in a spreadsheet somebody assembles for half a day.

Price the dashboard in a minute

A floor, not a quote. The binding figure is fixed after we scope the task, and that scoping is free.

Two more signs this is you

Two departments quote different numbers for the same week, and each is right by its own definition.

The report lands on Monday, about something that could still have been changed on Wednesday.

Here is what we build first

The first version is deliberately small, and complete enough to run on real data.

  • The metrics you actually decide on
  • Filters shaped like your business
  • One screen, no export step
  • Refreshes on a schedule

The expensive part is rarely obvious

The expensive part is metrics nobody has agreed on. If «active client» means three different things to three people, that conversation is the project and the charts are the easy half. Then we count the sources: how many there are, and whether any of them needs a parser written first. The line almost nobody budgets for is history. Backfilling past periods often costs more than building the dashboard itself. Last, freshness of the data. Once a day and once a minute are different infrastructure, and the decision you make is usually the same either way.

We have built this, and it still runs

These bills do not come from us

The provider invoices you directly. There is no margin on top, because that money never passes through us.

We do not resell capacity, so we earn nothing when your bill grows.

You can leave here with a figure

The page you are on answers the first question. Four left, and you see the figure without telling us anything.
